Application of Yishen Shengshi Tongbi Formula Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine定向透药 Therapy in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of Yishen Shengshi Tongbi Formula combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine定向透药 Therapy on joint swelling index and joint tenderness index in patients with cold-damp obstruction type rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: A total of 78 patients with cold-damp obstruction type RA admitted to Xinmi City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 39 cases in each group. The control group received conventional Western medical treatment, while the observation group received Yishen Shengshi Tongbi Formula combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine定向透药 Therapy on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, joint swelling index, joint tenderness index, inflammatory indicators, and immunological indicators were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores, joint swelling index, and joint tenderness index of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the serum immunoglobulin (Ig) G, IgA, rheumatoid factor (RF), and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody (CCP) levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Yishen Shengshi Tongbi Formula combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine定向透药 Therapy has a significant clinical effect in treating patients with cold-damp obstruction type RA, which can alleviate joint swelling and tenderness, reduce inflammatory reactions in the body, and improve immune function.
