Effect of Yiwu Preparation Zhong Nong Qing Mu in the Treatment of Cold-Damp Bi Syndrome Type Lumbar Disc Herniation
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of Yiwu preparation Zhong Nong Qing Mu in the treatment of cold-damp bi syndrome type lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods: A total of 80 patients with cold-damp bi syndrome type LDH admitted to Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received Celecoxib capsules, while the observation group received the lumbar compound preparation (Zhong Nong Qing Mu). The changes in TCM syndrome scores, pain intensity, functional disability, lumbar function, and clinical efficacy before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores, Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores, and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores were higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The Yiwu preparation lumbar compound (Zhong Nong Qing Mu) can relieve clinical symptoms, reduce pain, improve functional impairment caused by LDH, promote recovery of lumbar function, and enhance clinical efficacy.
