Effect of Zishen Yutai Pills on Ovarian Reserve Function and Sex Hormones in Patients with Ovarian Insufficiency
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of Zishen Yutai Pills on ovarian reserve function and sex hormones in patients with ovarian insufficiency. Methods: A total of 92 patients with ovarian insufficiency admitted to Yuexiu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Guangzhou from January 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 46 cases. The control group received conventional Western medical treatment, while the observation group received Zishen Yutai Pills in addition to the treatment of the control group. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment, ovarian reserve function, sex hormone levels, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.30%, which was higher than 76.09% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores, serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), inhibin B (INHB), and estradiol (E2) levels were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Zishen Yutai Pills and Western medicine for the treatment of ovarian insufficiency can enhance clinical efficacy, alleviate clinical symptoms, improve ovarian reserve function, regulate sex hormone levels, and does not increase adverse reactions.
