The Effect of Zigu Jiedu Ointment Combined with Fibroblast Growth Factor on Postoperative Wound Healing in Anal Fistula Patients

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of Zigu Jiedu Ointment combined with fibroblast growth factor on postoperative wound healing in anal fistula patients. Methods: A total of 130 patients who underwent anal fistula surgery at the Tong'an Branch of the First Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen University from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 65 cases in each group. After surgery, the control group received fibroblast growth factor for wound healing, while the observation group received Zigu Jiedu Ointment combined with fibroblast growth factor. The wound healing condition, anorectal motility indices, inflammatory factor levels in wound exudate, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The time for necrotic tissue shedding and wound healing in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After surgery, the resting anal pressure (ARP) and maximum contractile pressure (AMCP) of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while the longest contraction time (ALCT) was longer, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After surgery, the level of interleukin-10 (IL-10) in the wound exudate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while the levels of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) were lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Using a combined treatment of Zigu Jiedu Ointment and fibroblast growth factor in postoperative wound healing of anal fistula patients can accelerate the shedding of necrotic tissue, shorten the wound healing time, improve the inflammatory factor levels in wound exudate and anorectal motility indices, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
