Application of Dizhu Shengbai Tablets Combined with Licorice Tablets in Patients with Breast Cancer Chemotherapy-Induced Neutropenia
Abstract：Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Dizhu Shengbai Tablets combined with Licorice Tablets in patients with breast cancer chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. Methods: A total of 80 female patients with neutropenia after chemotherapy were selected from Pingdingshan Hewu General Hospital between October 2021 and October 2023 and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 40 cases. The control group received Licorice Tablets treatment, while the observation group received additional Dizhu Shengbai Tablets on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, duration of symptoms, symptom scores before and after treatment, peripheral blood white blood cell count (WBC), absolute neutrophil count (ANC), and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The overall effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The duration of neutropenia and fever in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores for fever, headache, and chills in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the peripheral blood WBC and ANC were higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Dizhu Shengbai Tablets combined with Licorice Tablets show significant effects in treating neutropenia in female breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, improving the treatment condition, relieving clinical symptoms, increasing peripheral blood WBC and ANC, and without increasing adverse reactions.
