Clinical Effect of KunTai Capsules Combined with Estriol and Dienogest in the Treatment of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding During Perimenopause
Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical effect of KunTai capsules combined with estriol and dienogest in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause. Methods: A total of 120 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause admitted to Puyang City TCM Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received treatment with estriol and dienogest, while the observation group received additional treatment with KunTai capsules on the basis of the control group. The changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, reproductive endocrine indicators, serum inflammatory factor levels, endometrial thickness, and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, serum luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels, endometrial thickness, and all scores of the Menopause Quality of Life Questionnaire (MENQOL) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the serum estradiol (E2) level was higher in the observation group. All these differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Using KunTai capsules combined with estriol and dienogest for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding during perimenopause can alleviate clinical symptoms, correct reproductive endocrine disorders, reduce inflammatory responses, inhibit excessive endometrial proliferation, and improve the quality of life.
