Effect of Yuns Pi Tiao Zhong Tuina Combined with Chinese Medicine Enema on Immune Function in Children with Rotavirus Enteritis
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of Yuns Pi Tiao Zhong Tuina combined with Chinese medicine enema on immune function in children with rotavirus enteritis. Methods: A total of 89 children with rotavirus enteritis admitted to Xuchang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group (44 cases) and an observation group (45 cases) according to the random number table method. All patients received symptomatic treatment such as intravenous infusion and correction of dehydration after admission. The control group received Chinese medicine enema treatment on the basis of the above treatment, while the observation group received Yuns Pi Tiao Zhong Tuina treatment in addition to the treatment of the control group. The clinical efficacy, improvement time of clinical symptoms, TCM syndrome scores, and immune function were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (97.78%) was higher than that of the control group (81.82%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The improvement times of diarrhea, dehydration, fever, and vomiting in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores for watery stools, anal burning, and thirst and fever in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the observation group had lower scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of immunoglobulins (Ig) A, IgM, and IgG in both groups were higher than before treatment, and the observation group had higher levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Yuns Pi Tiao Zhong Tuina combined with Chinese medicine enema has a significant therapeutic effect in the clinical treatment of children with rotavirus enteritis, which can promote the recovery of clinical symptoms such as diarrhea and dehydration and improve their immune function.
