Clinical Effect of Kang'ai Injection Combined with Moxibustion on Cancer-Related Fatigue in Patients with Advanced Lung Cancer
Abstract：Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Kang'ai injection combined with moxibustion on cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods: A total of 66 patients with advanced lung cancer admitted to Qiaoli Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Dooi District, Zhuhai City from November 2022 to July 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 33 cases in each group. The control group received routine treatment, while the experimental group received Kang'ai injection combined with moxibustion on top of the control group's treatment. The CRF condition, serum C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the self-rated fatigue scale (PFS) scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group had lower scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum CRP levels of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the experimental group had lower levels than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores for social function, role function, cognitive function, emotional function, physical function, and overall quality of life of both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the experimental group had higher scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion: Adding Kang'ai injection combined with moxibustion to routine treatment can improve CRF in patients with advanced lung cancer, reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, and enhance the quality of life.
