Clinical Efficacy of Nao Li Qing Pills Combined with Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets in the Treatment of Primary Hypertension

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Nao Li Qing Pills combined with Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets in the treatment of primary hypertension. Methods: A total of 92 patients with primary hypertension who were treated at Zhengzhou Social Welfare Institute from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group (45 cases) and an observation group (47 cases) according to the lottery method. The control group received Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets treatment, while the observation group received additional Nao Li Qing Pills treatment on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical efficacy, blood pressure circadian rhythm, vascular endothelial function, and hemorheological parameters were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (89.36%) was higher than that in the control group (71.11%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the mean daytime and nighttime systolic blood pressure, mean daytime and nighttime diastolic blood pressure, 24-hour mean systolic blood pressure, and 24-hour mean diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum von Willebrand factor (vWF) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the level of serum nitric oxide (NO) was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the high, medium, and low shear viscosity of whole blood in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Nao Li Qing Pills combined with Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets can enhance the short-term clinical efficacy in patients with primary hypertension, restore their blood pressure circadian rhythm, and improve their vascular endothelial function and hemorheological parameters.
