Effect of CDP Choline Tablets Combined with Ginkgo Biloba Extract Injection on Patients in the Recovery Period of Cerebral Infarction
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effects of CDP choline tablets combined with ginkgo biloba extract injection on cerebral hemodynamics and vascular endothelial function in patients in the recovery period of cerebral infarction. Methods: A total of 80 patients with cerebral infarction in the recovery period treated at Wuxi Rehabilitation Hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups received routine treatment. On this basis, the control group was orally administered CDP choline sodium tablets, while the observation group received CDP choline tablets combined with ginkgo biloba extract injection. The clinical efficacy, neurological impairment degree, motor function, cerebral hemodynamics indicators, vascular endothelial function, and prognosis of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group (95.00%) was higher than that of the control group (77.50%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the NIHSS scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the FMA scores were higher than those before treatment. Moreover, the NIHSS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the FMA score was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the RI and PI of the cerebral arteries in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the average blood flow velocity (Vm) was faster than before treatment. Additionally, the RI and PI of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the Vm was faster, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of vWF and ET-1 in the serum of both groups were lower than before treatment, while the levels of NO and VEGF were higher than before treatment. Moreover, the levels of vWF and ET-1 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the levels of NO and VEGF were higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The proportion of patients in the observation group with GOS grade 5 was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: CDP choline tablets combined with ginkgo biloba extract injection can effectively improve the neurological and motor functions of patients in the recovery period of cerebral infarction, regulate their cerebral hemodynamics and vascular endothelial function, and improve their prognosis.
