Clinical Effect of Sanjie Zhitong Capsule Combined with Dienogest in the Treatment of Adenomyosis

Abstract：Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Sanjie Zhitong Capsule combined with Dienogest in the treatment of patients with adenomyosis (AM). Methods: A total of 88 AM patients admitted to the General Hospital of Pingmei Shenma Medical Group from August 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Dienogest, while the observation group was treated with Sanjie Zhitong Capsule combined with Dienogest. The clinical efficacy, hormonal levels, uterine condition, menstrual condition, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (93.18%) was higher than that of the control group (77.27%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) in both groups decreased compared to before treatment, and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the uterine volume and endometrial thickness in both groups were less than before treatment, and the observation group had smaller values than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores on the COX Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS) and the Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart (PBAC) in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the observation group had lower scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Sanjie Zhitong Capsule combined with Dienogest in the treatment of AM can improve the clinical efficacy of patients, regulate their hormonal levels, improve uterine and menstrual conditions, and has high safety.
