Effect of Electromyography-Triggered Electrical Stimulation Combined with Hand Function Rehabilitation Training on Postoperative Recovery in Patients with Hand Injuries
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of electromyography-triggered electrical stimulation combined with hand function rehabilitation training on postoperative recovery in patients with hand injuries. Methods: A total of 80 patients with hand injuries who were treated at Taiyuan HePing Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received hand function rehabilitation training, while the observation group received additional electromyography-triggered electrical stimulation treatment. Both groups received treatment for 8 consecutive weeks. The hand muscle strength, hand function, upper limb function, circulatory status, and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the hand muscle strength of both groups was better than before treatment, and the hand muscle strength of the observation group was better than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of all dimensions and the total score of the Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire (MHQ) in both groups were higher than before treatment, and the observation group scored higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the upper extremity functional index (UEFI) scores and circulatory status scores of both groups were higher than before treatment, and the observation group scored higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the psychological function, social function, material function, and physical function scores of both groups were higher than before treatment, and the observation group scored higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The application of electromyography-triggered electrical stimulation combined with hand function rehabilitation training in postoperative recovery of patients with hand injuries can achieve good rehabilitation effects, which is beneficial for promoting postoperative recovery and improving the quality of life of patients.
