Clinical Study on the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis with Radiculopathy Using Jingluotong Combined with Ultrasound-Guided Nerve Block
Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of Jingluotong combined with ultrasound-guided paravertebral nerve block for the treatment of cervical radiculopathy. Methods: A total of 100 patients with cervical radiculopathy who visited Kaifeng Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received ultrasound-guided paravertebral nerve block, while the observation group received additional Jingluotong treatment. The pain level, cervical function, quality of life, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score and the Neck Disability Index (NDI) score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while the Short Form-36 (SF-36) score was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was 86.00%, which was higher than the 74.00% of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of cervical radiculopathy, the combination of ultrasound-guided nerve block therapy and Jingluotong therapy shows significantly better therapeutic effects than single nerve block therapy, effectively relieving pain, improving symptoms such as limited neck mobility, and enhancing the quality of life of patients.
