Clinical Observation of Jianpi Xiehuo Decoction Combined with Xiaofu Xin Liquid in the Treatment of Recurrent Oral Ulcer of Spleen Deficiency and Yin Fire Syndrome
Abstract：Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of Jianpi Xiehuo Decoction combined with Xiaofu Xin Liquid in the treatment of recurrent oral ulcers (ROU) of spleen deficiency and yin fire syndrome. Methods: A total of 60 ROU patients treated at Yanchun Hospital of Beijing TCM Hospital from November 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each with 30 cases. The control group received Xiaofu Xin Liquid treatment, while the experimental group received additional treatment with the traditional Chinese medicine formula Jianpi Xiehuo Decoction on top of the control group's treatment. The clinical symptoms, local efficacy, overall efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, and recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results: After 7 days of treatment, the average ulcer duration and pain level of both groups were shorter or lower than before treatment, and the experimental group showed better results than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After 7 days of treatment, the local total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After 14 days of treatment, the overall total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After 14 days of treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were lower than before treatment, and the experimental group had lower scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the recurrence rates of the experimental group at 3 and 6 months were lower, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion: Jianpi Xiehuo Decoction combined with Xiaofu Xin Liquid shows significant effects in treating ROU of spleen deficiency and yin fire syndrome, significantly improves clinical symptoms and TCM syndrome, and reduces disease recurrence.
