Clinical Observation of Guo Yongchang's Seven-Step Technique Combined with Bone Necrosis Rehabilitation Pills in the Treatment of Femoral Head Necrosis of the Liver and Kidney Deficiency Type
Abstract：Objective: To explore the clinical effect of Guo Yongchang's seven-step technique combined with bone necrosis rehabilitation pills in the treatment of femoral head necrosis. Methods: A total of 72 patients with liver-kidney deficiency type femoral head necrosis admitted to Zhengzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedic Disease Hospital from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group (35 cases) and an observation group (37 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with bone necrosis rehabilitation pills, while the observation group received Guo Yongchang's seven-step technique combined with bone necrosis rehabilitation pills. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, pain levels, hip joint function, and bone metabolism indicators were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.59% (35/37), which was significantly higher than that of the control group at 74.29% (26/35), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed significant decreases in visual analog scale (VAS) scores, TCM syndrome scores, and serum β-CTX levels compared to before treatment, while Harris hip scores and bone metabolism indicators [serum bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BGP), bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)] showed significant increases compared to before treatment. Moreover, the improvement in these indicators in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Guo Yongchang's seven-step technique combined with bone necrosis rehabilitation pills shows good therapeutic effects in patients with liver-kidney deficiency type femoral head necrosis, effectively relieving pain, improving hip joint function, and regulating bone metabolism levels.
