Efficacy Analysis of Compound Danshen Dropping Pills Combined with Metoprolol in the Treatment of Unstable Angina Pectoris in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the efficacy of compound danshen dropping pills combined with metoprolol (Met) in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris (UAP) in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: A total of 140 UAP patients admitted to Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University from September 2021 to September 2023 were enrolled as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group (70 cases) and an observation group (70 cases) according to the random number table method. In addition to routine treatment, the control group received Met treatment, while the observation group received compound danshen dropping pills combined with Met treatment. The efficacy, changes in cardiac function indicators [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), cardiac index (CI), cardiac output (CO), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD)], symptom occurrence (frequency and duration), laboratory indicators [soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6), fibrinogen (FIB), D-dimer (D-D)], and adverse reaction incidence were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (95.71%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (85.71%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed improved LVEF, CI, and CO levels, and decreased LVEDD, sICAM-1, IL-6, FIB, and D-D levels compared to before treatment. Moreover, the observation group had higher LVEF, CI, and CO levels and lower LVEDD, sICAM-1, IL-6, FIB, and D-D levels compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the frequency of angina attacks in the observation group was lower, and the duration was shorter than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Compound danshen dropping pills combined with Met can improve the efficacy, reduce inflammatory responses, improve hypercoagulable state, thereby alleviating clinical symptoms and enhancing cardiac function in patients with UAP.
