Clinical Study on the Treatment of Femoral Head Necrosis with Intra-articular Injection of Ozone + Sodium Hyaluronate Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Encapsulation and Heat Therapy
Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical effect of intra-articular injection of ozone + sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine encapsulation and heat therapy in the treatment of femoral head necrosis. Methods: A total of 71 patients with femoral head necrosis treated at Zhengzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedic Disease Hospital from January 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group (36 cases) and a control group (35 cases). The control group received treatment with bone necrosis rehabilitation pills, while the observation group received intra-articular injection of ozone + sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine encapsulation and heat therapy. The pain level, hip joint function, hip joint flexion function, hemorheological indicators, serum inflammatory factors, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the visual analog scale (VAS) score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Harris hip joint scores in each dimension and the total score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the hip joint flexion function score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the high shear viscosity, low shear viscosity, and plasma viscosity of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group (94.44%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (74.29%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Intra-articular injection of ozone + sodium hyaluronate combined with traditional Chinese medicine encapsulation and heat therapy is effective in treating femoral head necrosis, which can effectively relieve hip joint pain, improve the hypercoagulable state of blood, reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, improve hip joint function, and promote functional repair of the necrotic femoral head.
