Clinical Effect of Shiyi Qinggan Formula Combined with Fenyama Meimin Capsules in the Treatment of Influenza

Abstract：Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of Shiyi Qinggan Formula combined with Fenyama Meimin Capsules in the treatment of influenza. Methods: A total of 124 patients with influenza admitted to Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group (62 cases) and an observation group (62 cases) using the red-blue ball method. The control group was treated with Fenyama Meimin Capsules, while the observation group received additional treatment with Shiyi Qinggan Formula. The clinical efficacy, clinical symptoms, incidence of adverse reactions, and serum inflammatory factor levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (96.77%) was higher than that of the control group (79.03%), with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The fever resolution time and the disappearance times of headache, generalized muscle pain, sore throat, and cough in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After 5 days of treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), serum amyloid A (SAA), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and interferon-γ (INF-γ) in both groups decreased, and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (6.45%) was higher than that in the control group (4.84%), but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion: The application of Shiyi Qinggan Formula combined with Fenyama Meimin Capsules in the treatment of influenza has obvious effects, which can significantly improve clinical symptoms and reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, with good safety.
