Clinical Efficacy of GuLou XieBai BanXia Decoction Combined with Tirofiban Hydrochloride in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction After PCI
Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of GuLou XieBai BanXia Decoction combined with tirofiban hydrochloride in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: A total of 90 AMI patients who underwent PCI at Kaifeng Central Hospital from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to the odd-even number method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intravenous tirofiban hydrochloride, while the observation group received additional treatment with GuLou XieBai BanXia Decoction on top of the control group's medication. The treatment lasted for two consecutive months. The two groups were compared in terms of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, clinical efficacy, cardiac function [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD)], hemorheological indicators (whole blood high and low shear reduced viscosity and fibrinogen), serum indicators [N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide precursor (NT-proBNP) and homocysteine (Hcy)], and incidence of adverse reactions. Results: After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group (91.11%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (75.56%), with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the LVEF of the observation group was significantly higher, while LVESD and LVEDD were significantly lower compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the whole blood high and low shear reduced viscosity and fibrinogen levels of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The serum NT-proBNP and Hcy levels of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: GuLou XieBai BanXia Decoction combined with tirofiban hydrochloride is effective in patients with AMI after PCI, which can effectively reduce the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, improve cardiac function, hemorheological, and serum indicators.
