The Significance of the Round Ligament Artery in Uterine Arterial Embolization for Postpartum Hemorrhage (A Report of 2 Cases)
Abstract：Postpartum hemorrhage is one of the main causes of maternal death. This article describes in detail the process of emergency uterine artery embolization in two patients with postpartum hemorrhage at Changzhou No. 2 People's Hospital. During the operation, the round ligament artery was found to be a potential arterial supply to the uterus. Successful hemostasis was achieved by superselective embolization of this artery. This article emphasizes the importance of identifying and embolizing the round ligament artery during interventional treatment for postpartum hemorrhage, as well as its critical role in improving the success rate of treatment.
