Research and Application Progress of Multimodal Image Fusion Technology in TIPS Interventional Therapy
Abstract:The application of multimodal image fusion technology in interventional therapy has attracted increasing attention, especially in transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), where this technology can significantly improve the safety and efficacy of treatment. Currently, TIPS interventional therapy faces issues such as inadequate preoperative assessment, inaccurate intraoperative navigation, and insufficient postoperative monitoring, which directly affect treatment outcomes and patient prognosis. Studies show that multimodal image fusion technology, by integrating data from different imaging modalities, can provide physicians with more comprehensive information, improve preoperative planning, optimize intraoperative procedures, and enhance the accuracy of postoperative evaluation. This article reviews the research progress of multimodal image fusion technology in TIPS interventional therapy, focusing on its specific applications in preoperative assessment, intraoperative navigation, and postoperative monitoring, while analyzing the advantages and limitations of different imaging technologies. Finally, it outlines future directions for this field, aiming to promote the development of clinical practice and improve patient treatment outcomes.
