A Case of Primary Ewing Sarcoma of the Small Intestine with Hemorrhage
Abstract:Extraosseous Ewing sarcoma (EES) is a rare and highly malignant small round cell tumor, commonly occurring in soft tissues around the spine, buttocks, and lower limbs, and rarely in the gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal EES most frequently occurs in the small intestine and mesentery. It often presents no obvious symptoms in the early stage, grows rapidly, and when the tumor is large, it can easily lead to intussusception or intestinal obstruction. This article reports a case of primary Ewing sarcoma of the small intestine with hemorrhage admitted by the emergency department of Changzhou No. 2 People's Hospital. Combined with existing literature and reports, this article discusses and summarizes the clinical characteristics and diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
