A Case Analysis and Discussion of Premature Rupture of Membranes Before Full Term After Cervical Cerclage in Obstetrics
Abstract:Cervical insufficiency is a common cause of late spontaneous abortion, and cervical cerclage is an effective treatment. The incidence of maternal and fetal infection after premature rupture of membranes before 34 weeks of gestation reaches more than 35%, requiring scientific and reasonable intervention. On November 18, 2023, Changzhou No. 2 People's Hospital admitted a pregnant woman with cervical insufficiency. After admission, vaginal cervical cerclage was performed. Later, the pregnant woman experienced premature rupture of membranes before full term. Measures such as promoting fetal lung maturity, inhibiting uterine contractions, and anti-infection were taken. A male infant was delivered vaginally at 29+2 weeks of gestation. With the joint efforts of obstetrics, neonatology, and anesthesiology, the mother and baby were safely discharged. This case is summarized as follows.
