Application Status and Development Trends of Non-Insufflation Laparoscopic Instruments in Urology
Abstract:Non-insufflation laparoscopic technology, by replacing the traditional carbon dioxide (CO2) pneumoperitoneum, effectively avoids complications such as hypercapnia and cardiopulmonary function suppression, becoming an important option for minimally invasive surgery in urology. Current improvements in non-insufflation laparoscopic suspension systems (such as J-shaped retractor and umbrella-type support) and internal expansion systems (such as balloon dilators) have to some extent enhanced the stability of the surgical space, while the integration of traditional open surgical instruments with the non-insufflation environment has further reduced the complexity of the operation. However, non-insufflation technology still faces challenges such as uneven exposure of the surgical field, increased intraoperative bleeding, and a steep learning curve. Future development directions may focus on intelligent suspension systems (such as pressure sensing and robotic arm dynamic adjustment), artificial intelligence-assisted preoperative planning, new materials (lightweight suspension devices), and structural innovations (adjustable internal expansion balloons), to optimize the accuracy and safety of the surgery. Through multidisciplinary innovation and standardized instrument development, non-insufflation technology is expected to achieve broader application in complex urological surgeries, providing patients with safer and more cost-effective minimally invasive treatment options.
