Enlightenments for Redesigning and Protecting Historical Buildings from Two Reconstruction Cases

Abstract：abstract Architects have been long seeking the suitable ways to redesign historic buildings, in order to revitalize them. But can the new building co-exist with the historical one? This paper chooses two cases with new constructions erected from historical sites. It tries to analyze how these two cases tackle the protection issues through their redevelopment process.
