The Cultural Image of Landscape Design
Abstract：The author analyses three projects including ‘Porcelain Garden’ in 1999 Kunming World Horticulture Exposition, Yuzhang Garden in 2006 Shenyang World Horticulture Exposition and Jingdezhen lakes area. He concludes the design intentions, methodologies and form of expression, and try to elucidate the cultural image of landscape design. He suggests landscape design should express the cultural making of its own nationality. It would be marked as good design work only when its image intergrades the subjective and objective elements, and be recognized and accepted by the users.
