Abstract：Baoying County in Yangzhou City is the source area of the eastern route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Located in the northern part of Yangzhou City, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through the county, with a dense network of waterways and excellent water quality, providing unique natural conditions for the ecological and healthy breeding of crabs. The county has a crab breeding area of 230,000 mu, accounting for approximately 7.18% of the total crab breeding area in Jiangsu Province. In 2024, the county achieved a total crab production of 26,000 tons and an output value of 2.8 billion yuan.
