High Efficiency of Mixed Cultivation of Freshwater Prawns and River Crabs in Greenhouses
Abstract：Freshwater prawns have been selected as an important species for the green ecological transformation of aquaculture in Sheyang due to their good ecological advantages and stable breeding benefits, and they have also driven a certain scale of breeding. This article mainly introduces the trial of mixed cultivation of 'Taihu No. 3' freshwater prawns and crabs in greenhouses. By using greenhouse insulation technology, the water temperature can be maintained at ≥15°C during the wintering period (November to February of the following year), breaking the growth stagnation limit of crustaceans under low temperatures, achieving three batches of freshwater prawn sales (spring prawns, summer prawns, autumn prawns) and the 'multi-shell' growth of crabs, significantly improving the breeding efficiency.
