Abstract：With the continuous growth of market demand for high-quality Chinese mitten crabs, the breeding and promotion of high-quality germplasm have become key to improving industry efficiency. Chongming, located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, is a place where brackish and fresh water meet. It has always been the homeland of the Yangtze River system Chinese mitten crab. Since the 1980s, it has been one of the most important crab germplasm bases in the country, making positive contributions to the development of the national crab industry. In 2022, the Chongming District Government signed an agreement with Shanghai Ocean University to jointly develop a new strain of Chinese mitten crab with a genetic marker KCNA, named 'Chongming No.1' (hereinafter referred to as 'Chongming No.1').
