Water Improvement Measures for Artificial Lakes in Lanzhou City
Abstract:Lanzhou City's Nanhu Park, also known as Yantan Park, covers an area of 217.16 mu, with an artificial lake inside the park covering an area of 82.15 mu and an average depth of 1.2 meters. The lake water is a closed system with poor water flow, local hypoxia, thick sediment, and the potential to produce toxic and harmful substances under insufficient light conditions. Influenced by natural, physical-chemical, and human factors, the water body is too lean to support aquatic life. There are no beneficial microorganisms in the water, and a large amount of algae has appeared. The surface of the lake appears black and emits a fishy odor, and environmental issues have become increasingly evident. This paper conducts field surveys and sampling, performs water quality monitoring and laboratory analysis, and applies biological treatment technologies to improve water quality, providing a technical model to enhance the landscape quality of artificial lakes.
