Indoor Factory-based Artificial Breeding Experiment of the Freshwater Snail 'Lihu No.1'
Abstract：The freshwater snail 'Lihu No.1' was bred by the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences in collaboration with multiple domestic units. It was approved by the National Aquatic Germplasm and Variety Certification Committee in 2023 as the first new variety of snail in the country, with the variety registration number: GS-01-010-2023. Under the same conditions, the body weight of this variety increased by 28.54%, the shell width increased by 10.14%, and the growth cycle can be shortened to 8 months (Jin Wu et al., 2023).
