Abstract：Gansu has long been facing issues such as water resource shortages and uneven spatial and temporal distribution. The per capita annual water volume is less than half of the national average. With the factors of regional economic development and changes in the natural environment, the constraint of water resource shortage on fishery production will gradually intensify. Developing water-saving fisheries is a new approach for Gansu's fisheries to cope with the water crisis, address internal industry problems, and achieve sustainable development.
