Solid Industrial Foundation: The Gao Lake Town in Wuxi City's Xishan District has abundant lake resources, clear water quality rich in selenium elements, and is a key town for aquatic product industries in the city. Qingyu (black fish) is the leading species in aquaculture in the town, with a breeding history of nearly a century. Currently, the town has cultivated 86 Qingyu aquaculture households, with about 2,000 acres of breeding waters, accounting for 53.7% of the total aquaculture area in the town. The annual total output is approximately 1 million kilograms, making it the largest non-polluting Qingyu breeding base in the country. In recent years, Gao Lake Town has further strengthened the construction of Qingyu breeding infrastructure, launching the ecological transformation of Qingyu breeding ponds in 2020 to optimize the breeding environment and improve the quality of Qingyu. A total of 820 acres of Qingyu breeding areas have been renovated, and 64.1 acres of tertiary water purification zones have been newly built. All tailwater ecological purification areas use the 'three pools and two dams' treatment model, ensuring that the breeding tailwater meets discharge standards or is recycled.
