Healthy Breeding and Quality Analysis of Antiviral Crucian Carp
Abstract：Crucian carp is one of China's important major freshwater aquaculture species, with a long history of breeding and a wide variety, playing an important role in China's freshwater aquaculture industry. Crucian carp is farmed in all provinces of China except Tibet, with the largest breeding area in Jiangsu Province. In 2023, the national production of crucian carp reached 2.84 million tons, while the production in Jiangsu Province reached 5.877 million tons, accounting for about 1/5 of the national output (China Fisheries Statistical Yearbook, 2024). However, compared to the peak period of crucian carp breeding in 2016, the national production and Jiangsu production of crucian carp have decreased by 5.81% and 8.78%, respectively.
