Abstract：As one of the main breeding areas for Litopenaeus vannamei in the Liaoning region, with the continuous decline in its price, the enthusiasm of farmers for breeding has significantly decreased. Many farmers are urgently seeking new alternative species for breeding. In recent years, the price of Macrobrachium rosenbergii has been relatively high, around 120 yuan per kilogram, and the breeding enthusiasm in southern regions has been high, leading to a shortage of seedlings. Farmers in northern regions have also begun to try breeding it. Farmers in the Liaoning region who previously bred Litopenaeus vannamei have now started to implement freshwater co-cultivation of Macrobrachium rosenbergii and Litopenaeus vannamei.
