Compared to 2023, the national black-spotted frog breeding area increased by 20,000 to 30,000 mu in 2024, approaching 150,000 mu, with a production of between 110,000 and 120,000 tons. The main breeding areas for black-spotted frogs are concentrated in the Yangtze River Basin, including Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, and Jiangsu. Among them, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi have the largest breeding areas, accounting for more than 65% of the national total area.
