Abstract：Raising Chinese softshell turtles in water chestnut fields is a new ecological agricultural model that integrates agriculture and aquaculture. This model cleverly utilizes the complementary advantages between plants and animals, achieving maximum resource utilization by raising Chinese softshell turtles and planting water chestnuts. The excrement of the turtles provides rich nutrients for the water chestnuts, promoting their full absorption; at the same time, the activity of the turtles increases the dissolved oxygen content in the mud water, creating favorable conditions for the development of new roots and early tillering of the water chestnuts, thereby improving the quality of the water chestnuts.
