Research Progress on Negative Emotions and Coping Strategies of Elderly Patients in the Preoperative Area of the Operating Room
Abstract:After entering the operating room, elderly patients experience negative emotions such as anxiety and depression under the stimulation of various stressors, which lead to a series of physiological stress responses, such as increased urine output, elevated blood pressure, and heart rate, thereby affecting the surgical process. Research on negative emotions and coping strategies of elderly patients in the preoperative area of the operating room has made significant progress both domestically and internationally. This article reviews the types of negative emotions, influencing factors, and coping strategies of elderly patients in the preoperative area of the operating room, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the coping and intervention of negative emotions in elderly patients in this setting.
