The Effect of Diary-Based Psychological Intervention on Patients with Bipolar Disorder
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the effect of diary-based psychological intervention on patients with bipolar disorder. Methods: A total of 74 patients with bipolar disorder admitted to the hospital from March 2020 to September 2023 were analyzed. The patients were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (n=37) received routine nursing care, while the observation group (n=37) received diary-based psychological intervention. The mental status (PANSS), cognitive function score (CASI), violent behavior score (MOAS), and quality of life score (SQLS) were compared before and after the intervention. Results: After the intervention, the PANSS, MOAS, and SQLS scores of both groups were lower than those before the intervention, and the observation group had lower scores than the control group (P<0.05). After the intervention, the CASI score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: Diary-based psychological intervention can improve the mental condition of patients with bipolar disorder, enhance their cognitive function, reduce violent behavior, and promote the improvement of their quality of life, showing good effects.
