Research Progress on Existential Suffering in Family Caregivers of Patients with Advanced Cancer
Abstract：This paper reviews the related concepts of existential suffering in family caregivers of patients with advanced cancer, introduces relevant assessment tools, and summarizes and analyzes its influencing factors and intervention measures. It is found that reducing existential suffering in family caregivers can help improve their physical and mental health, enhance their caregiving abilities, and thus improve the quality of life of patients with advanced cancer. In the future, it should combine China's cultural context to deepen the connotation of existential suffering in family caregivers, develop a localized measurement scale, further clarify the influencing factors of existential suffering in family caregivers, provide a theoretical basis for related research in China, and offer references for constructing an intervention program for existential suffering in family caregivers of patients with advanced cancer that fits China's cultural background.
