Application of Bundle Prevention Nursing Based on Evidence-Based Medicine in Patients with Esophageal Cancer After Surgery Who Receive Home Enteral Nutrition
Abstract：Objective: To explore the application effect of bundle prevention nursing guided by evidence-based medicine in patients with esophageal cancer who receive home enteral nutrition after surgery. Methods: A total of 160 patients with esophageal cancer who received home enteral nutrition after surgery in the hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into control group and observation group using a random number table method, with 80 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received a bundle prevention nursing plan guided by evidence-based medicine on top of the control group. The nutritional indicators [hemoglobin (Hb), albumin (ALB), prealbumin (PA)], quality of life [European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-OG25)], incidence of malnutrition risk, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups after intervention. Results: After applying the bundle prevention nursing plan guided by evidence-based medicine, the levels of Hb, ALB, and PA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the EORTC QLQ-OG25 scores and incidence of malnutrition risk were lower, and the nursing satisfaction was higher (all P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implementing a bundle prevention nursing plan guided by evidence-based medicine can effectively improve the nutritional indicators of patients with esophageal cancer who receive home enteral nutrition after surgery, enhance their quality of life, reduce the incidence of malnutrition risk, and thus improve nursing satisfaction.
