Effect of Family Ternary-Linked Nursing under the Perspective of Medical and Prevention Integration on the Quality of Life and Self-Management Ability of COPD Patients at Home
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of family ternary-linked nursing under the perspective of medical and prevention integration on the quality of life and self-management ability of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients at home. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 160 COPD patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the hospital from January to June 2023 as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each with 80 cases. The control group received routine intervention, while the experimental group received the family ternary-linked nursing model under the perspective of medical and prevention integration in addition to routine intervention. The quality of life, self-management ability, pulmonary function, and clinical indicators of the two groups were compared before and after the intervention. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed significantly better self-management ability, quality of life, pulmonary function indicators [forced expiratory volume in one second as a percentage of predicted value (FEV1%)], and clinical indicators [blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)] than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Family ternary-linked nursing under the perspective of medical and prevention integration can effectively improve the self-management ability of COPD patients and significantly improve their pulmonary function and quality of life.
