Current Status Observation and Influencing Factors of Frailty in Patients with Heart Failure
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the frailty status of patients with heart failure, analyze and evaluate its influencing factors, and explore appropriate nursing strategies. Methods: A total of 135 patients with heart failure admitted to the Department of Cardiology at the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2024 to August 2024 were selected as the study subjects. Data on general patient information were collected, and questionnaires were administered using the Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Symptoms Scale (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 (GAD-7), and Frailty Scale (FRAIL). Based on the scale scores, patients were divided into non-frail group and frail group. Using the occurrence of frailty as the dependent variable, χ² test and Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the risk factors for frailty in patients with heart failure. Results: Univariate analysis showed that anxiety and depression were both risk factors for frailty in patients with heart failure (P < 0.05). Binary Logistic regression analysis further confirmed that anxiety was an independent risk factor for frailty in patients with heart failure (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Anxiety significantly affects the degree of frailty in patients with heart failure, and the state of frailty may further exacerbate the patient's anxiety. Therefore, clinical nursing should pay attention to the psychological condition of patients with heart failure and implement effective intervention measures in a timely manner.
