Application Study of Accelerated Rehabilitation Nursing for Lung Cancer Surgery Patients Based on the Transitional Care Model Combined with WeChat
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of accelerated rehabilitation nursing for lung cancer surgery patients based on the transitional care model combined with WeChat. Methods: A total of 72 patients with non-small cell lung cancer who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery at the Department of Cardiothoracic Oncology of a tertiary A hospital in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. The numbers 1-72 were randomly selected, and then divided into two groups by dividing the random numbers by 2. Those divisible by 2 were assigned to the experimental group, and the rest to the control group. Two patients in the experimental group and three patients in the control group did not participate in the study throughout and were excluded. The experimental group received accelerated rehabilitation nursing based on the transitional care model combined with WeChat, while the control group received routine nursing. The effectiveness was evaluated on the first day of hospitalization and one month after surgery using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short Form), the Short Form Health Survey, the adherence questionnaire to accelerated rehabilitation management content, and clinical rehabilitation indicators. Results: One month after surgery, the experimental group had longer total physical activity time and moderate physical activity time compared to the control group (P < 0.05); the scores for physical pain, social function, and mental health were higher in the experimental group than in the control group (P < 0.05); there were more cases with high adherence to accelerated rehabilitation management content in the experimental group than in the control group (P < 0.05); the first time of getting out of bed was shorter, the hospitalization cost was lower, and the number of cases with pleural effusion was fewer in the experimental group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Accelerated rehabilitation nursing for lung cancer surgery patients based on the transitional care model combined with WeChat can significantly improve the physical activity level, quality of life, adherence to accelerated rehabilitation management content, and clinical rehabilitation indicators of lung cancer surgery patients.
