Research Hotspots and Visual Analysis of Grandparenting Care at Home and Abroad
Abstract:Objective: To explore the research hotspots of grandparenting care from 2014 to 2023 at home and abroad, and to provide references for related health research on grandparenting care populations in China. Methods: A search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection database and CNKI. The CiteSpace 6.2.R3 software was used to draw maps of publication trends, countries, authors, and high-frequency keywords for visual analysis. Results: A total of 615 English papers and 296 Chinese papers were finally included. Among the countries publishing articles, the United States, China, and the United Kingdom ranked first, second, and third, respectively. Foreign research involves multiple disciplines such as public health, clinical medicine, nursing, and psychology, with a wide range of professional fields. In recent years, domestic research on the health of grandparenting care populations has gradually increased. The mental health of grandparents, children's balanced nutrition and obesity, and the lack of family care support are the hotspots of research both domestically and internationally. Conclusion: In the future, China should strengthen the attention of grassroots community health service institutions on the health issues of grandparenting care populations, provide interventions centered on the family, to enhance the health literacy of grandparenting care populations and improve their quality of life.
