Research Progress on the Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Dietary Therapy Based on Constitution Identification Theory in Elderly Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract:Traditional Chinese medicine constitution is a relatively stable physical structure, physiological function, and psychological state formed under the influence of congenital genetics and postnatal environment. Traditional Chinese medicine dietary therapy is based on TCM theory, following the principle of 'treating diseases when they exist and strengthening health when they do not'. It advocates using the nature and flavor of food to regulate yin and yang, emphasizing enhancing people's physical condition and preventing certain diseases without adverse reactions. Dietary therapy based on constitution identification theory has achieved certain results in the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease. This study, based on relevant literature, focuses on analyzing the etiology and pathogenesis of coronary heart disease and traditional Chinese medicine dietary therapy, hoping to better understand the current status of TCM dietary therapy in preventing and treating coronary heart disease, thereby better leveraging the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing and treating coronary heart disease.
