A Scoping Review of Interventions to Improve Medication Adherence in Patients After Thyroid Cancer Surgery
Abstract:Objective: To conduct a scoping review of the application of interventions for medication adherence in patients after thyroid cancer surgery, providing evidence to improve medication adherence. Methods: Relevant literature was retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, China Biological Medicine Database, Web of Science, PubMed, CINAHL, and Embase, with a search period from the establishment of the database to February 19, 2024. Literature was screened and information extracted according to inclusion criteria. Results: A total of 14 studies were included, 13 of which were randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and 1 was a prospective longitudinal study. Interventions related to medication adherence in patients after thyroid cancer surgery included health education, follow-up nursing intervention, quality control circle, and cognitive behavioral therapy. The intervention forms included online, offline, and combined online-offline methods. The intervention duration varied from 1 to 12 months. All interventions had a positive impact on medication adherence. Conclusion: Current intervention programs focus on family-oriented and comprehensive characteristics, showing good effectiveness. However, there are still issues such as insufficient sample size and short intervention duration. Future research should further develop large-sample, multi-form interventions, extend evaluation indicators, and provide more scientific and accurate intervention programs.
