Application of the LEARNS Model in Patients with Insomnia After Stroke
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application effect of the LEARNS model in patients with insomnia after stroke. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 120 inpatients with insomnia after stroke in the neurology department of a tertiary hospital in Jingzhou from January to June 2023. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education, while the observation group received health education based on the LEARNS model. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores, and nursing satisfaction were compared before and after intervention between the two groups. Results: After intervention, the PSQI and SAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the nursing satisfaction was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Applying the LEARNS health education model to patients with insomnia after stroke can effectively improve their sleep quality, alleviate anxiety, and enhance nursing satisfaction.
