Study on the Effect of Lei Huo Moxibustion on the Quality of Life and Treatment Compliance of Patients with Gynecological Tumors Under Platinum-Based Chemotherapy
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the effect of Lei Huo Moxibustion on the quality of life and treatment compliance of patients with gynecological tumors undergoing platinum-based chemotherapy. Methods: A total of 80 patients with gynecological malignant tumors who received platinum-based chemotherapy in the Department of Oncology at Guigang People's Hospital from April 2020 to March 2021 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into the Lei Huo Moxibustion group and the control group using a random number table, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the Lei Huo Moxibustion group received Lei Huo Moxibustion treatment in addition to the control group's care. The scores of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30) and differences in treatment compliance between the two groups were compared. Results: After intervention, the scores for nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, and insomnia in the Lei Huo Moxibustion group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05), while the emotional function score was significantly higher (P < 0.05). The treatment compliance of patients in the Lei Huo Moxibustion group was better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Lei Huo Moxibustion can effectively relieve gastrointestinal reactions caused by chemotherapy in patients with gynecological tumors, improve sleep quality, eliminate negative emotions, enhance the quality of life of patients, and thus improve treatment compliance.
