The Effect of the Roundtable Medical Model Combined with Sensory-Motor Training on Cognitive Function and Psychological Resilience in Patients with Schizophrenia During the Consolidation Phase
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of the roundtable medical model combined with sensory-motor training on cognitive function and psychological resilience in patients with schizophrenia during the consolidation phase. Methods: A total of 90 patients with schizophrenia in the consolidation treatment phase who were treated at Suzhou Guangji Hospital from March 2021 to February 2022 were enrolled and analyzed. They were randomly divided into a study group and a control group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received sensory-motor training intervention, while the study group received both the roundtable medical model and sensory-motor training. Before and after 12 weeks of intervention, the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB), and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were used to assess clinical symptoms, cognitive function, and psychological resilience of the two groups. Results: After the intervention, the PANSS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After the intervention, the study group scored higher than the control group in information processing speed, word learning, reasoning and problem solving, and social cognition on the MCCB (P < 0.05). Both groups showed increased CD-RISC scores compared to before the intervention, with the study group scoring higher than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of the roundtable medical model and sensory-motor training can promote symptom recovery, correct cognitive impairment, and enhance psychological resilience in patients with schizophrenia during the consolidation phase.
